I was wondering when and why did everyone purchase anyDVD, cloneDVD, cloneCD.

I bought andDVD and cloneDVD when I bought Saw 3 and couldn't copy it using Shrink and DVD43.

I bought cloneCD after reading Webslinger posts about how great it is. I love this program and that's pretty much all I use right now.

I bought DVD Xcopy several yrs ago. BIG mistake!
I then discovered DVDShrink. When the encryptions got stronger I purchased AnyDVD.

I began with DVD Shrink by itself until it couldn't handle new encryptions so i bought AnyDVD.

I bought CloneDVD to replace Shrink altogether a few months later after the newer Sony discs rendered it useless.

Shrink was not rendered "useless" by Sony but by AnyDVD. They have changed that policy and AnyDVD and Shrink will once again back up any movie that is released. Even when AnyDVD would not work with Shrink, it was, and still is, a very valuable software for several other reasons.

That's why I still have it installed. :D The best software for compilation DVD's :agree:

Shrink can't handle movies like Casino Royale, Pursuit of Happyness, Open Season, etc on the fly. That's why i got CloneDVD, it took me less time to backup.

I backed up those movies using Shrink with no problems. Time is of little concern when I am backing up movies.
