Does anyone know what triggers the subtitles to start appearing when people start talking in the none normal language of the audio track. I cannot get consistent subtitles usuage with any player, on iso images.
 
Yeah, they're called forced subs and their behavior depends on numerous variables. They can be hardcoded, they can be "flagged" in a subtitle track, they can show or not show depending on WHICH subtitle track you select,...
