A virtual drive is seen by windows as an optical drive, but it don't exist in your pc (as a phisical drive).
Whit a virtual drive, you can emulate an image disk. your imag disk will be seen as a burn cd/dvd, so you won't need to put a CD/DVD in one of your drive to play.
