I just bought AS. Every time I download a video I get a second file *.astlog. They are large files of almost 6mb. The file name is the name of the movie/TV show. If I wanted to transfer the video to a disc would I need to include this second file? Or can I just delete it? I like your product and am looking forward to using it to its fullest. Barbara Kane
you can disable that setting through Menu > settings > General > untick 'automatically create logfile with download". Now as to the purpose, it's for diagnostic purposes only for the developers. If you were to transfer a title to disc, you do NOT need that file.
Thank you so much for the response. I thought that was the case but wasn't sure. Never had to do it before. Also thanks for showing me how to get rid of that file creation.
