50% of the time, when I go to mount an ISO as a virtual DVD, nothing happens; if I do a DIR y: (y is my one and only virtual cd/dvd drive), I get a message: "the parameter is incorrect". In order to mount an ISO on Virtual CloneDrive, I often have to reboot. What is wrong?

Widows 7 64 bit SP1.

That is an odd problem especially since it works half of the time - VCD works fine on my W7 x64 PC

If you haven't yet, you might try uninstalling VCD, reboot the PC, and reinstall it
 
I just tried another similar software - it has the same problem. This is on a fresh install.
