Using Anydvd and Clonedvd I was unable to make a backup copy of my movie. Clonedvd would not open the file.

you probably have a bad/scratched dvd try cleaning the dvd and go again

I made a perfect backup of Island of Dr. Moreau w/ AnyDVD & Clone DVD2[Slysoft Software not the issue in this case].
Try cleaning disc or think about purchasing different brand of media if problem continues to reoccur or maybe having driver problems? Check for driver updates.
