Hello!

I have been unable to backup "The Year Without A Santa Claus" DVD, Reg. 1, US, UPC 12569 05372 using AnyDVD 6.2.0.1 and CloneDVD 2.9.1.2

CloneDVD processes the disc fine, but the burning stage stops at 30 something percent every time. Also stops burning at same spot if using Nero. Have tried three different burners and two types of blank discs with same results. If I backup only the other two bonus titles on the disc (Rudolph's Shiny New Year and Nestor The Long Earred Christmas Donkey) it will finish burning and produce a working disc, so whatever is causing the problem seems to be in the main title.

Zip file Included.

Thanks!

3. Ugh. Terrible
You've got a lot of junk on your system, including Nero's Incd, Sonic's Drag to Disc, and AFS2K, which is a filter James dislikes greatly. Packet writing software such as Incd and Drag to Disc interfere with a lot of programs, including Slysofts'.

Uninstall these programs and check to ensure those drivers are no longer listed in your filters. If you can't figure out how, do this:

i) Create a backup of your registry
ii) Download imgburn. It's a free program: http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=download
(it's also an excellent program imo)
iii) Go to Tools > Filter Driver Load Order. Select "Cdralw2k". Click "Remove Selected Filter". Select "incdrm". Click "Remove Selected Filter". Select "InCDPass". Click "Remove Selected Filter". Select "Select "AFS2K." Click "Remove Selected Filter". Select "CDR4_XP ". Click "Remove Selected filter." Click "ok".
iv) Reboot

4. Download Nero cd-dvd speed. It's a free program. With Anydvd running in the background, select the tab labeled "scandisc". Select the appropriate drive letter, and click "start". If Nero cd-dvd speed reports read errors, your disc is (probably) bad and needs to be exchanged--even if it plays fine (or your optical drive could be slowly dying).
