Unable to backup Reservation Road

I wish i knew but it did not work for me on movie only .

Clone cd for Reservation Road did not work

Reservation Road shows as being 40GB in size.

I tried clone cd using the method where it
does not create a folder first. It appears clone cd
"locks out" that option as the original dvd shows as
being 40GB so that would require a 40GB blank dvd.

Another clone cd method is creating a folder first
then burning a copy from the folder. At the moment
I only have 16 GB free space on my hard drive. I suppose
if I had more that 40 GB free on my hard drive that I
could create a 40 GB folder containing Reservation Road.

I possibly would run into a problem of clone cd being unable
to burn that 40 GB folder onto an apx 8.5 GB dual layer dvd

In any event as mentioned in my first Reservation Road post
making a "movie only" copy onto a single layer dvd that plays
fine on a dvd player is not a problem.

I tried clonecd last night it will make a 7.95 gig image if you use the ISO extension rather than the .dvd.

It just worked for me but i had to update to beta andi ti s movie only .

So far, it seems no one has tried a bit for bit clone using CloneCD, ImgBurn, or Nero's "Copy DVD". One guy (bullbleep) even has double layer discs but still only did "movie only."

Why are people so against doing it this way? I don't get it.

I posted on page 2 that ISOBuster works with AnyDVD running! that's a CSS removal only bit-for-bit.

yes and it seems as if the mounted .iso (made with isobuster) should be able to be cleaned when the update comes out

I did not update CloneDVD2 is that the problem?

Quite possibly, especially since numerous others have had no issues doing movie only with Clonedvd 2.9.1.6

The problem occurs when selecting "preserve main menu" in Clonedvd. Otherwise, there's no issue.

Reservation road

I have been following directions set forth here in the forum. The problem that I am having is when I pull up the browser field to select the zip file. I find the file when in the document folder, but it dose not show in the browser field when doing the file search. It exists but can't be found. Am I doing this right or did I biff it somewhere. I would be Grateful for and assistance and direction. Thank you

i am looking for the anydvd update to back up reservation road

Follow the steps in the order that they are listed:

1. Use Anydvd 6.4.0.7 beta: click http://sandbox.slysoft.com/beta/SetupAnyDVD6407.exe

You may need to reboot after installing if prompted to do so.

2. Click the red fox icon on your toolbar. Click "default". Click "ok".

3.
a) Ensure Anydvd is running.
b) Put the problematic original movie dvd in your burner. Wait for Anydvd to scan the disc.
c) Right click the red fox icon on your toolbar.
d) Select "Create Logfile"
e) Wait for Anydvd to create a log file.
f) A pop-up screen will appear. Take note of the location where Anydvd created the logfile and the logfile's name. Click "ok".
g) Go to your My Documents folder
h) You will see a zip file called "Anydvd_Info_titleofmydisc.zip" (or something similar; see step f)
i) When replying or posting in the Slysoft forums, look for the icon that looks like
attach.gif
(in other words, look for the paperclip after clicking "quote" or when creating a new thread)
j) If you don't see that paperclip icon, click the "go advanced" button. You should see that icon now. Click the paperclip.
k) A small pop-up screen should appear (if it doesn't please ensure your browser is enabled to allow pop-ups from the Slysoft forums)
l) Click the "Browse" button, and locate and select the .zip file you created.
m) click "upload"
n) Close the window. When you submit reply, or submit a new thread, the .zip file will be attached automatically for us to take a look at

4. To assist with troubleshooting, please use Clonedvd 2.9.1.6 beta: click http://sandbox.slysoft.com/beta/SetupCloneDVD2916.exe (free 21 day trial)

5. Run Clonedvd. Select "Clone DVD" from the main menu to ensure that you're doing a full disc backup.

6. Then please post the Clonedvd log:

click http://forum.slysoft.com/showthread.php?t=476 and follow the steps but note the differences below that I would prefer you do instead:

i)Select "dvd+/-r DL" near the quality bar in Clonedvd. This avoids compression (so, the process will be faster)

ii) Select "dvd files" as the output method--and rip to your hard drive. Clonedvd also rips slightly faster than Anydvd ripper.

(thanks to Zebadee for the screenshot)

iii) You should be able to copy and paste the log text with your mouse (click in the white area shown in the screenshot).

Try

[ code ]
log text
[ /code ]

Don't put spaces in the square brackets.

iv) State the full a)error message(s) you encountered (click "details")

i am looking for the anydvd update to back up reservation road

1. Use Clonedvd 2.9.1.6 beta and don't select "preserve menus"

2. Anydvd ripper will not work. You will need to wait for an Anydvd update

3. I also recommend uninstalling the Roxio Directcd packet writing software that's on your system.

After using ISOBuster and AnyDVD, the result is an apx 7Gb file, which can then be run through AnyDVD again (using a mounting program), for a finished and complete backup. Aside from that, wait for the update.

full backup reservation road is possible

i was able to back up reservation road by using anydvd 6404 to rip the whole disc to my HD (it shows as 7.60 gb on the hd) and then I used dvd shrink 3.2 to copy the the menues and movie to a ty dvd-r...Hope this helps. Joe in philly...PS i did this on windows xp machine SP2

I doubt that as I get the same issue ripping with anydvd as I do with version 6.4.0.7 beta although the read out is different.
