13. My profile works occasionally. At first, it seemed to be working each time I rebooted. But now it just appears random when it works. I can surf the web for awhile. Then I'll try to run my profile, and I'll get the following error message:

attachment.php

So, I click cancel. And Game Jackal shuts down.

Then I'll try running the profile again a bit later (after surfing some more), and it will work. I have created new profiles as well. Same thing happens.

Sorry, I know this issue must be utterly frustrating, especially since the profile works sometimes, but for the life of me, I cannot figure out why it doesn't work all the time.

Perhaps I should create a list of running applications.

Next time this happens... can you post the "ref" file. This is located in the profile library directory and will have the name "12345-12345678.ref" where 12345-12345678 is the profile filename.

FYI you can find the profile filename by editing the profile. The profile filename is the name at the bottom of the dialog.

Sure thing

I'm still having this issue with 3.1.0.5 rc1

I guess I'll try updating my profile.

Unfortunately, updating didn't help.

Hmmm, I did fix a bug that could cause such a thing... obviously that was not the only bug :bang:

A few questions.
1) Does this happen with profiles create pre v3.1.0.4?
2) It is intermittent. i.e. The same profile will work again at some point.
3) Is there anything that you are doing which may be the cause?

In addition to the ref file you posted... can you post the srd profile file (i.e. 12345-12345678.srd)

The strange thing is that I had a new profile do the same thing. However the issue was with the profiling... there seemed to be a problem when I analyzed the DVD. All very odd

1) Does this happen with profiles create pre v3.1.0.4?

I don't know if the problem is the profile or the emulation. I do know that before version 3.1.0.4, the profile I had was working. But I've re-created it since then.

It is intermittent. i.e. The same profile will work again at some point.

Yes. And I don't know what the trigger is. Sometimes it works. Then I use firefox for a little while and browse. But I exit firefox. Then I try to run the profile again, and the time runs out . . .

Then I do a few more things (check email, visit a few more websites). I try again, and the profile will work.

If the profile failed to work every single time, this might be easier to figure out.

Is there anything that you are doing which may be the cause?

*sigh* I wish I knew. Could the problem be Kaspersky Internet Security 8.0.0.454? I'm sort of looking for an excuse to switch to ESET Smart Security anyway (you see, all the cool kids are using ESET Smart Security or Nod32 ;) ).

In addition to the ref file you posted... can you post the srd profile file (i.e. 12345-12345678.srd)

Sure

Ok... now I'm really confused. The srd file is the problem file (this is generated during the profiling process). For some reason the timing data seems a little strange. What is odd is that none of this code has been changed in recent releases

Anyway... I will work out the hows and whys and sort it out for rc2.

I just wanted to let matthew know that 3.1.1.0 resolved the issue I was having. I updated my profile, and everything is fine now.

Thank you
