Hi,

I am a newbie to this stuff, I am not a computer guru or nerd . To me a 'puter is an appliance, like a toaster, as if my car. I can perform basic functions and make them go.

Is there a tutorial that I can read that explains what all the cute abbreiavtions and functions are , and how they work.

Fer instance, I want to take a dvd (perhaps) and burn a copy Any DVD will decrytp it, then any clone will burn it. It took a coaster to point out that the subtitles need be off, or it is burned into the disk, and not removable. Also how do I get the menu , so I can at least picj which episode I need to see. I realise scene selection might take up way too much space, but menu of the 5 or so selections per disk?

then

I want to put the dvd in its entirety or stripped out of everything but the menu on my drive so I can watch while in the inlaws are visiting and I am "working" on my 'puter? I told it to put files on my drive and I see files, but no idea what the heck they are and how to retrieve them.

Will anydvd HD strip anything including non HD/blueray ? If so why do I need anydvd.

ISO images .....DUH what is this, what does it mean? USE?

A nice tutorial on the suytems, and how to use them, or anyone who can help me understand post here.

I live in NYC area and if you are as well, perhaps we can get together for a cup of coffee and discuss the theory of how things work.

Please forgive my newbieness

thanks in advance

Anydvd HD handles commercially released HD-DVDs, Blu-ray, and dvd movies.

Anydvd handles commercially released dvd movies.

Anydvd HD costs 30 Euros more than Anydvd.

That feature was primarily implemented for HD-DVD and Blu-ray users. If you're using dvds, use "rip video dvd to harddisk" instead.
