Trouble with world in conflict

Everytime I try to launch world in conflict it says no disc inserted and tells me to insert the game disc.

1. I am running 3.0.2.4 rc2
2. I am using Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2
5. World in Conflict uses Securom
6. World in Conflict
7. What is the version of the game?
8. DVD version
9. Should be USA
10. AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+
11. TSSTcorp CD/DVDW TS-H652L Revision 0603( I guess revision is firmware?)
12. I am using Bitdefender 2008 total security
13. I double click the world in conflict profile, game jackal says it is active and the icon in the tray is flashing. Then it says no disc inserted and tells me to insert game disc. Also, I forgot to add in the fact that everygame I try to create a profile with, my whole computer locks up and I can't do anything but forcefully shut down the computer, then on the reboot, if I'm lucky I can get the profile to finally be created and finalized. It always locks up at step 5 when it asks me to insert the disc and it never starts up, if I click anything it freezes the computer completely.

I agree that world in conflict is a great game but here's the clue.
You dont need a DVD if you use "Play online only" mode.

See you on the battlefield. You can tell me your name and we can play sometime.

clicking play online only has no purpose if I want to play singleplayer???

This lockup is a known issue that has been addressed in the next beta (should be here in a day or so).
