I bought a Lite-on BD ROM player and installed it where my SONY DVD ROM was. I had Roxio Easy Creator 10 and Vista running. Worked fine for watching BD movies.
When I tried to rip the BD movie using AnyDVD- HD, it would usually say that there was an error reading drive in the 1st 10-15% of the movie. Tried several different movies and still the same.
I uninstalled (and uninstalled, and uninstalled) all of the pieces of Roxio and did a reg cleaner sweep afterwards.
The two movies I just tried completed rips without any issues at all.
I will try reinstalling Roxio to see if there was an issue with me just plopping in a BD player without reloading Roxio. I will post the results.
