Why is there a logo on the trial version when you burn a blu ray ?

Because it's a trial, the trial places a watermark, other than that there is no limit on functionality

seems like a waste of money. who wants to watch a movie with that water mark there ?

Why would it be a waste of money?

What's the definition of trial? To 'TRY' the software and see if it works, how the developer restricts that is up to them. Some use limited for use, others place restrictions on what the software can do (I've seen trials where it figure only encode the first 3 minutes of video), and yet life others don't place functionality restrictions or time restrictions, but place a watermark in the video.

The bought and licensed version obviously does not have watermark in the video,
