I'm one of the minority who preferred the story writing in KOTOR II (I found it had a far more mature tone) to the first KOTOR, but I, like many others, hated the ending. Obsidian Entertainment, the developer, did not have enough time to finish developing the game properly, and Lucasarts, the publisher, forced the game out the door too early to beat a Christmas season buying rush. The result? Cut content galore--and a really slap-dashed ending . . .

Well, Team Gizka (http://www.team-gizka.org/) has been attempting to restore cut context for over 4 years. That project still isn't finished, and it appears to me as though there's still no end in sight. Dashus appears to be the only person working on the mod but hasn't done so in months by his own admission:

I have no doubt that if Team Gizka's mod were ever fully completed, it would be fantastic. But it's been over 4 years . . .

That said, Zbyl2 and DarthStoney have completed a less ambitious project that has restored the cut content. It can be found here:

Too bad, console gamers! ;) You can only enjoy the restored content on the PC at the moment.

And so, I think it's about time for me to reinstall Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords
