The difference between iPod Video and iPod Video 5. gen (hires)

Hi

I'm having a 6th generation 160 GB iPod Classic. Shall I choose iPod Video or iPod Video 5. gen (hires) when converting?
In the MEncoder command line the -lavcopts coder=1 parameter is the only difference between these options, but what does this parameter do?
(I'm using CloneDVDmobile 1.2.0.1)

i'd just go with iPod Video 5. gen (hires) option.
the fact it is 6th generation probably means is has a brighter screen than the 5th generation ipod,and other slight improvements (or not from some amazon reviews)
