    Hi all,

I was attempting to backup my copy of The Squid and the Whale (R1 NTSC). AnyDVD didn't report any problems. While reading and ripping in CloneDVD, it got all the way to 99% and then gave an error. The only thing listed in the details is:

    Code:
    CloneIFO 5 TCE

    Thanks preemptively,
    Zach

Okay, tomorrow I will post the information you requested in step 8. I hope the disc isn't bad, but I guess that is always a possibility.

We both have the exact same optical drive! :D

    That looks heavily protected.

Okay, I'll send the information and .ifo files to Slysoft. I see that the AnyDVD ripper may work, but I would like to see what their response is firstly. Thanks for the help. :)

    @ gentoo_zach,

Your Pioneer DVR-112D DVD Burner Region is not set. For the AnyDVD software program to function and operate correctly requires that the DVD Device have a Region set.

Suggest reviewing the Below Forum posting and note paragraph #22, which details how to correctly set the Region of your DVD device.

    http://forum.slysoft.com/showthread.php?t=5083

Also note that your Pioneer DVR-112D has old out of date version 1.15 firmware. Suggest obtaining the newest most current up to date version 1.22 Firmware ->

    Good point.

    @gentoo_zach

I strongly suspect if you do update your firmware, you shouldn't need to use Anydvd ripper first. I have no idea why that other person used Clonedvd (and failed), and then used Anydvd ripper (and it worked).

No need, I have the disc in my "protection library". I'll check, but I doubt there will be a problem. It has an older version of Sony Arccos.

Wow, that's strange... my Squid and the Whale looks like this:

Seems like there are two versions of this disc, so it makes sense to post the .ifo files here, thank you.

It isn't listed on the site and James didn't mention a new beta.
