Small CD's dont eject

Has anyone had problems using the small CD's? My CloneCD works perfectly with the standard ones but with the small ones it records to 100% then just sits there "flushing buffers" for ever. I have to use a paperclip to get the Cd out and task manager to find the process and close it. Once the CD is out it appears to be perfectly recorded and works normally.
 
The DVD writer has to write a so-called "finalization" on the DVD after burning. There it writes a marker on the DVD, so that the reading device knows that the disc ends here and where to go from that (e.g. to the start sequence, usually the menu).
Some writers tend to hang while finalizing the disc. Unfortunately a burn software cannot do anything against this.
