• AnyStream is having some DRM issues currently, Netflix is not available in HD for the time being.
Situations like this will always happen with AnyStream: streaming providers are continuously improving their countermeasures while we try to catch up, it's an ongoing cat-and-mouse game. In order to keep the forums running well and to prevent problems, please follow these simple rules for the forums here. If you have any questions or problems, please feel free to contact one of the RedFox Support Members.

General Rules:
  • While debating and discussion is fine, we will not tolerate rudeness, yelling, insulting posts, personal attacks or inflammatory posts. Our decision is final in these matters.
  • Please refrain from posting meaningless threads, one word (or short) non-sense posts, or anything similar.
  • Multiple or repeated posting in order to increase your post count is not allowed.
  • Advertising, spamming and trolling not allowed. This includes using the forum email and private message system to spam other members.
  • Posting and/or discussion of Cracks or illegal serial numbers for any program or application in this forum will not be tolerated, that includes posts about otherwise copyright protected content. RedFox reserves the right to ban you from posting on this forum for the first infraction.
  • We also do not allow posts that are sexual in nature or violate RedFox community standards. The RedFox team shall be the sole arbitrator of what does and what does not violate community standards.
  • Each member is allowed one login account. Registering with multiple accounts is not allowed.
  • We reserve the right to remove offensive posts without notice.
  • These forums are viewed by people of all ages. Be respectful of that and watch your language when posting. Profanities should be avoided and are frowned upon. Punishment will result from the violation of this rule.
  • If you are going to post non-English on these forums, please also post an English Translation of your post.
  • Also while these rules cover most common situations, they cannot anticipate everything. Consequently we reserve the right to take any actions we deem appropriate to ensure these forums are not disrupted or abused in any way.
  • You cannot post any affiliate or referral links, or post anything asking for a referral. Such posts will be subject to removal.
  • You cannot post advertisements or notices for contests.
  • We also reserve the right to ban anyone who wilfully violates the forum rules, as access to our support forums is a privilege and not a right. A banned customer is still entitled to support from the support system.
Any threads/posts of these types will be deleted.

Advertising Services

We do not allow people to post threads or to send private messages or emails to users here that advertise or solicit any products or services. Explicit advertising and solicitating in sigs is also prohibited.

Links in Signatures

Links in signatures must follow these guidelines:
  • Links to sites competing with RedFox's products are forbidden.
  • Links to commercial products and services are unwanted. Please only use them if really required. Rather use links to neutral sites like Wikipedia, Softpedia and peer reviews instead.
  • Mild promotional text for commercial products and services is tolerated, provided there are no prices listed.
  • A link and promotional text for a site that is not commercial and does not contain products or services is allowed, provided the site is not sexual or does not violate RedFox community standards. The RedFox team shall be the sole arbitrator of what does and what does not violate community standards. (Examples include sites about drugs and/or sex.)
  • Duplicate links to the same URL in a signature are not allowed.

User names

Any user name that closely resembles a RedFox product name is prohibited

Avatars

Animated avatars are not allowed. Sorry.

Avatars that may be confused with official staff avatars are not allowed.

Affiliate Programs

The RedFox affiliate program is designed to allow people to advertise RedFox on their web site and earn a commission on all sales generated through that link. You are not allowed to post your affiliate link anywhere on the RedFox forums, in your signature or send the link through private messages to other forum users. Anyone that does this may be removed from the affiliate program immediately without notice. This rule applies to all affiliate program links, not just the RedFox program.

Signature Size Limits

All signatures should not exceed the following size limits, and you can't have both text and images
  • For text signatures: 4 lines normal size, 8 lines small size and up to 90 chars per line. Font sizes above 2 are not allowed. (Blank lines count as lines.)
  • Do not use images with large text to bypass the previous item
  • For images in signatures: 1 image up to 300 pixels wide, 125 pixels tall and 20k in size
  • Animated images in sigs are not allowed

No Uploading any type of Copyrighted movies files
  • No movie files of any kind that are copyrighted with be allowed to be uploaded to the forum, if so they will be deleted along with the entire post. This includes .mp4 and others.

Thanks!

I just wanted to say this in general: I really don't approve of people swearing on these forums.

And these rules, I feel, apply to posts containing swear words:

"While debating and discussion is fine, we will not tolerate rudeness, insulting posts, personal attacks or purposelessly inflammatory posts. Our decision is final in these matters."

"We also do not allow posts that are sexual in nature or violate RedFox community standards. The RedFox team shall be the sole arbitrator of what does and what does not violate community standards."

"We reserve the right to remove offensive posts without notice."

"We also reserve the right to ban anyone who willfully violates the forum rules, as access to our support forums is a privilege and not a right. A banned customer is still entitled to support from the support system."

You may be angry about something, but that doesn't give you the right to start swearing on these boards.

So please keep this in mind when posting, and please be civil when posting.

Thank you,

Webslinger

Hi :)
"Violate RedFox's community standards"
Futher to to this : -

"There has been (or at least appears to be) a rise in threads/posts which relate to 'unsavoury' going ons.
This has caused some debate amongst the Moderators here.
1st Let’s be clear about what goes & what does not.
As most are aware, legally, the situation varies slightly around the world.
Morally it doesn't.
The idea behind AnyDVD is that the OWNER of a LEGALLY BOUGHT DVD has the right to PROTECT HIS OR HER PROPERTY*. This includes the BACKING UP of said PROPERTY.
Using or promoting the use of ILLEGAL CRACK/DOWNLOAD SITES WILL NOT BE SUPPORTED.
OWNER's RIGHTs ARE.
This topic along with that of CRACKS is NOT TO BE TOLERATED!
Posting on the above topics, In the future, will be treated with much more vigour.
As it seems to be not only what the VAST MAJORITY of MEMBERS want.
But MODERATORs too.

In law the owner of said property has the right to protect their goods.
Unfortunately most laws relating to the backing up of software etc, along with moves made by the 'manufaturer's, make the reality of this technically &/or legally impossible.
RedFox with its DISCLAIMER regarding the ILLEGAL COPYING of discs (i.e. Illegal sources). Should make it clear that : _
RedFox PRODUCTS are for MORALLY providing a MEANs for which the OWNERS of such PROPERTY can meet their requirements in safeguarding THEIR PROPERTY.

RedFox Forum Posting Etiquette

Hello,
  1. Please do not post in another person's (the original poster's) thread concerning a problem that requires troubleshooting unless you want to help him or her. Especially, do not post your problems in other people's troubleshooting threads. Unless you want to help the original poster with his or her problem please do not reply in the original poster's thread unless otherwise noted (for example, replying about known/acknowledged issues with a specific disc from a specific region that is not currently supported by a RedFox program is fine; if a known issue exists with a RedFox program, then feel free to post within in the same thread for that problem). Otherwise, create your own thread instead please. Quite often people believe they have the exact same issue as someone else when they really don't. This happens more times than I can count (ex. "I have a problem with this disc". Well, one person has a scratched disc, and another person's problem is that he or she has tons of packet writing software on his or her system, such as InCD, DirectCD, Drive Letter Access, etc.. Another person is using the wrong IDE or SATA busmaster drivers. These are not the same issues at all. These people, in my example, just happen to be attempting to backup the same disc and erroneously believe they are all experiencing the same issue. They aren't. And it's extremely frustrating and confusing trying to resolve all three problems in a single thread.) If you want to help the original poster, great. Please do reply. If you think you have a similar problem as someone else, please create your own thread instead of replying to someone else's, and others will try to help you.

  2. Moreover, the practice of a forum member posting in or creating multiple threads about the exact same issue he or she is experiencing is not welcome here. If you have an issue, create a single thread for it, and remain in that thread for the duration of your problem please. Otherwise, you will just make troubleshooting far more difficult than necessary (we have to read multiple threads that you created; people are trying to help you in multiple threads; etc.). Feel free to create a thread about your problem, but do not create multiple threads about the exact same thing nor post in multiple threads about the exact same issue.

  3. Do not ask if other people are having similar problems, please. No one here is terribly fond of poll questions, and a lot of people can't tell that they're not experiencing the same problem that you are; they merely believe they share the same problem. Instead, simply post troubleshooting information (refer to the stickies at the top of the forums for information that you should be posting). If you're having a problem with Anydvd, for example, post the Anydvd log file and a full error message, please. Again, we do not want a situation where we have to troubleshoot multiple problems from different people within the same thread.

  4. Do not suggest other software products (especially ones that compete with RedFox products) as solutions to people in the General, Anydvd, Anydvd HD, Clonedvd, Clonecd, Game Jackal, or Clonedvd Mobile forums. If you want to help someone with a problem using the RedFox or Elaborate Bytes product he or she is having issues with, that's fine. Otherwise, post in the Third Party Products, High Definition Software, High Definition Hardware, General Hardware, etc., forums.

  5. Problems that have nothing to do with Anydvd (audio issues for example), do not belong in the Anydvd forum. Similarly, problems that have nothing to do with Anydvd HD (audio issues for example), do not belong in the Anydvd HD forum. If your problem can be resolved using Anydvd, then your problem belongs in the Anydvd forum.

  6. Also, before you post, please check the sticky articles (posted at the top of each forum). You may very well find your answer. If not, answer the required questions (often found in a thread called "HAVE PROBLEMS?" found stuck at the top of the forum, or provide the required information please. Please do not simply post "it doesn't work". Such descriptions are terribly vague and unhelpful as one may imagine. For example, before posting about an AnyDVD (non HD version) issue, provide the requested information from the sticky article, AnyDVD FAQ, if you have a question about AnyDVD.

  7. Please refrain from swearing on these forums, being rude to one another, or being uncivil.

  8. Posts regarding dvd issues belong in the Anydvd forum (if the problem involves Anydvd).

Posts regarding Blu-ray and HD-DVD issues belong in the Anydvd HD forum (if the problem involves Anydvd HD).

Should you have any problems with Blu-ray discs or HD-DVDs, please click https://forum.redfox.bz/forums/anydvd-hd-blu-ray.53/, and provide the requested information in the Anydvd HD forum.

Should you have any problems with dvds, please click https://forum.redfox.bz/forums/anydvd.18/, and follow the steps listed.

  9. Please, when posting, if you're going to copy and paste text that you haven't written, provide a link to the source, at least.

  10. Why do I want you to post questions in the forums instead of privately messaging me? There are two reasons:
    • Someone else may be able to respond to your question faster than I can--or may be able to help you better than I can.
    • Someone else may benefit from reading responses to your question.

  11. Finally, please respect the forum rules. Click the underlined text.
Thank you very much for reading!

Sincerely,

Webslinger

Please just remember anything you do to your computer whether it be from a PM or a Post is not the responsibility of RedFox. If your computer is affected in a negative way by these changes, RedFox is not responsible for your decisions. I just wanted to make this perfectly clear.:p

Hi :)
The above post # 3 & it's overview is one that most of us.
Members & Moderators would like to continue.
However, this addition has be seen to be necessary. In order to be of help to those working on RedFox products.

"Basically it has been decided that reference to rentals is acceptable.
But that doesn't mean opening the floodgates.
On some occasions where someone purchases a faulty disc.
The replacement being sometime off. (Mail order. shop out of stock, faulty batch etc.)
It could be deemed appropriate to use a rental to complete the backup.
In particular if it is one one a set.
As an interim measure.
Plus some countries laws are somewhat lenient in this respect.
You may not know, but some rentals have differing protections to that of the retail version.
In order for James to respond appropriately. This info can be helpful.
But please note. This is not an open, free for all on the topic of rentals.
Many members may withhold their help in these cases.
Which is both, perfectly understandable & acceptable.
However we ask members not to flame users who mention rentals.
In particular folk new to the forum.
Hope this goes some way in clearing up the situation.
Thanks to you all for your input & understanding.  "
The above can be found in this thread. Post # 3.

Forum members should not create polls in the RedFox Forums. If polls are created by a Moderator or RedFoxStaff that is a different story.

Most polls created by users simply create more trouble than they are worth. Creating a poll because a person wants a feature added won't make the feature any more likely to be added. People are free to discuss the topic in a thread without using a poll. In short, polls serve little purpose.

The Moderators all hold a similar opinion on polls so we are taking the stance on the fact that they are unnecessary and we will close them when we see them.
