Shin Godzilla, error, can't convert to MKV, process halts after a few seconds.

Any thoughts?

Thanks for the information.
That disc uses a very exotic channel layout (3.1 speakers, apparently), we'll have to implement this.
 
Same here - does great for the first minute or two, then almost stops. Tried ripping the whole 46 gig disk into an ISO file using ImgBurn. That seemed to work, but at a slow 2.0x read rate. Then tried to use CloneBD with that iso file for a partial copy of just the movie. First minute or two, great, then CPU usage for CloneBD dwindles to zero. Many thanks for any help.
 
They can't help unless you provide a CloneBD logfile. There's no guarantee you have the same version as OP.
