Another stupid question probably but please bear with me...
Casino Royale comes up in CloneBD with 3 main features, these are playlists 600, 850 and 851 (see emage attached)
All three of these point to a single underlying m2ts file which is 882
I think the only difference between these 3 "main features" is the audio track selection
To be honest, to avoid doing my head in when all I want is a single mkv with all the English audio tracks / subtitles, I used Makemkv to do the work
Is there a better way?
Thanks!

I can't say for sure without seeing the log file.
Normally CloneBD hides "clones" of playlists, unless there are real differences.
For example, if playlist A has all the audio and subtitle tracks, that are in playlist B, but has one additional track, it will hide playlist B (because you'd have everything you need in playlist A).

On some discs, though, different playlists have different things to offer, so CloneBD shows them all.
It's up to you to decide, which one you want.

I don't understand - why didn't you just pick one of those three playlists in CloneBD and get that done. There's no difference to what you did with MakeMKV.
Possible differences in those playlists are:
  • audio tracks (slide in the settings box for the playlists, and you can compare)
  • subtitle tracks (ditto)
  • chapters (hover with the mouse over the film strip, the yellow lines show chapters)
MakeMKV doesn't make it near as easy and intuitive, in my opinion.
Quite likely, if you only wanted the English stuff, all three playlists would have done it, so you could have simply clicked "continue" and used the preselected one.

Your audio choice is done though the language selection anyway.

Hi Pete
thanks for the reply. I think, all those playlists do is select alternative english commentary audios. There no way I think to get from any individual one of those tracks what I want which is an mkv with all english audios and subs from the underlying m2ts. They all preselected different audios in my impression. Mabe Im wrong though Im sitting in the pub. I'll upload a logfile later.
Ps really appreciating the support

Log file attached plus images of what one sees for the alternative Main Features
In fact there are just two Eng audio tracks in the m2ts file but I think it's hard to know that, or be sure anyway, from clonebd

Thanks - but I'd need a proper CloneBD log file (not just that copy&paste text).
The log file you can create on the final page after processing - ending in .cbdlog
You don't have to do a full transcode for that, you can abort the process, the log file can still be created.
The cbdlog log file includes parts of the disc structure, that's the only way I can see what those playlists contain.

Not forgotten this - left the disks in Germany, will be back there next week

logfile at last
