San Andreas worked before I updated GJ to newest version.

    1. What version of Game Jackal are you running?
    Release v2.9.18.610

    2. What Operating system are you using? 64 bit? service pack? MS WinXP SP2

    3. If you have virtual drives, disable them while profiling and playing profiles. Thi includes Daemon Tools, Alcohol 120%, Virtual Clonedrive, Clonecdtray, and possibly Anydvd. None
    4. Remove packet writing software from your system (including Roxio's Directcd, Nero's Incd, Roxio/Sonic's DragtoDisc, Drive Letter Access, CyberLink InstantBurn, NTI's Filecd, etc.) Removed Roxio
    5. What protection does your game use? Don't know? Find out before posting about issues (and include that information)! Use Protection ID. It's a free program. Use ProtectionID and scan your HD directory where the game is installed (right click the icon on your toolbar, and select "scan files/folders"). Or just scan the main program .exe(s) that you find in the game directory on your hard drive. Provide the protection name and the version number. Scanning -> D:\Games\Rockstar Games\GTA San Andreas\gta_sa.exe
    File Type : Exe, Size : 8708096 (084E000h) Bytes
    -> Suspicious MZ Header..
    [!] SecuROM Detected - Version 7.11.0009
    [!] Possible CD/DVD-Check String -> CD was
    - Scan Took : 0.94 Seconds

    6. What is the name of the game you're trying to run? GTA: San Andreas
    7. What is the version of the game?Current
    8. Is it cd or dvd version?DVD
    9. What region or country is the original disc from?Region 1(USA)
    10. What cpu are you running?AMD Athlon XP 2800+
    11. What optical drives (dvd-rom,cd-rom, burners) are you using to create profiles with? What firmware version is installed on your reader?Plextor DVDR PX-800A firmware 1.00
    12. What security software (firewall, antivirus) are you using? Please provide version numbers.None
    13. Describe your problem, provide full error messages, and please state clearly what you were doing when you received those error messages.Updated to newest version of licensed GJ, ran thru creat profile for GTA San Andreas, insert DVD, DVD exits, GJ has now been deactivated. Game does not run.
    14. You should have two log files in your Game Jackal directory. The first is called. Proc Monitor.log, and the second is called Profile.log (do not post the Profiler.log file... notice the "r" at the end). Copy and past the information into your next post. Here is one way to do it:

(it's also an excellent program imo)

You appear to have Roxio/Sonic's Drive Letter Access on your system (DLACDBHM). Drive Letter Access is packet writing software, which may possibly interfere with Slysoft programs.

    1.
    i) Create a backup of your registry
ii) Download imgburn. It's a free program: http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=download
(it's also an excellent program imo)
iii) Go to Tools > Filter Driver Load Order. Select "DLACDBHM". Click "Remove Selected Filter". Select "drvmcdb". Click "Remove Selected Filter". Click "ok".
    iv) Reboot

Keep in mind the programs that installed those filters will no longer work properly.

    2. Try reprofiling after doing step 1.

    3. If step 2 doesn't work, try creating a new profile in image mode.

I tried options 1 & 2. Even profiling (3). Same result. This was happening even before I installed Roxio. Old maplom edition worked fine, then I upgraded to GJ Pro recently. That's all I got. Any other ideas? Thx.

Have you tried profiling using image mode?

I'm not too sure what else to suggest (I'm just an end-user like you).

Matthew probably has some better ideas.

Looking at your log files, there appears to be 2 issues.
    1) The profile is being shutdown by GJ because it can't find the running process.
    2) The copy protection GJ has detected is wrong ("Profile CP: 0", should be 1 for Securom).

    1) First make sure you are launching the correct exe (or set the running process option under advanced settings).
    2) You can set the profiles target copy protection in the profiles advanced settings.

I've tried both suggestions. I'm still receiving the same result.

Can you post the log files again?
Also, try turning off the profile's auto stop option and see if that helps.

I'm assuming un-checking the auto stop option didn't help.
Now try un-checking the "auto start" option (this means you will need to start the game manually after the profile has started).

I have unchecked both options. Game runs manually from startup menu. The option when right clicking on GJ icon to run from CD/DVD does nothing. What is going on with this version. It has worked before. What is different. All my hardware is the same. Help please.
