samsung ht-q70 will not play disc help!!

ok it let me do every thing that you said but when i went to put it in my dvd player it said "no file". and my computer will not stop reading the copy

You did burn it in Shrink, through, right--like you're accustomed to doing? You clicked "backup dvd", chose your target device, etc., clicked "ok", right?

yes i did, also my computer read it for about min and locked dvd shrink up

also i checked the box to remove unreferenced and blank cells could that have caused a problem anyway i started it again to check

anydvd will only say what kind of media and region the copy is no more info about the disc well i have ten min left now after trying it again with it unchecked i will see how this one does

The backup is bad as a result of selecting "Remove unreferenced . . .". That setting should be unchecked when you rip to your hard drive.

Right click on Anydvd on the toolbar, and select "rip-video dvd to harddisk". After you're finished ripping you should be able to import the main movie only into Shrink (Click "reauthor" and then browse to the location of the video_ts folder. Then drag and drop the main movie over to the left). Click "backup dvd", chose your target device, etc., click "ok"

Test to see if your backup plays in your standalone dvd player.

After you finish burning, click the red fox icon in your system tray. Select "status" on the left hand side of your screen. With the backup disc inserted in your computer, click the appropriate drive tab letter (the drive containing the disc) in Anydvd. In the window below the drive letter, copy and paste the information Anydvd gives you in your next post.

The issue is with your choice of blank media or your standalone player is slowly dying.

it will play just fine in my kids 25.00 wally world special.

This indicates Clonedvd2 worked fine, and I suspect the other backup you just made with Shrink will work fine without having to press play and stop first in your kids' "wally world special". Your standalone dvd player either doesn't like the blank media you're using--or the samsung player is slowly dying.

Disc type: : DVD+R
Book Type : DVD+R

Shrink isn't changing the booktype of your +R media to "dvd-rom". And your current firmware doesn't support changing booktype from +R to "dvd-rom". If it could, this might help your playback issues.

But I would probably try different blank media or a different standalone dvd player.
