Summary for drive E: (AnyDVD 6.1.3.2)
    SONY DVD RW DRU-800A KY01 JAN02 ,2005
    Drive (Hardware) Region: 1

    Media is a Data DVD.
    Booktype: dvd-rom (version 1), Layers: 1
Total size: 2092956 sectors (4087 MBytes)

Video DVD (or CD) label: First_Born
    Media is CSS protected!

Note: I found that when backing up "First Born" to DVD disc that if you Changed firstplay to: "Jump directly to Title Menu" instead of just "Title" that this movie will not play in a stand alone DVD player of which SONY is my brand of choice (Plays on my PC's though). There is a caution of such happening when choosing to use this feature in AnyDVD. Be advised that this feature does cause a problem if not set correctly with this title (First Born).

Thanks for the info, I shared the data from "Everyone's Hero" last week actually. My store has yet to get our retail versions of "First Born", so once again thanks for the info.

Need some details on these posts...

I'm struggling through learning (shades of Casino Royale) so pardon what is probably a dumb question, but are you boys using AnyDVD to rip first and THEN using CloneDVD to write an ISO, or clone the files to hdisk, or straight to disc?

    read http://forum.slysoft.com/showthread.php?t=476 fully
(print it out if you have to)

Also, never use Anydvd ripper first to do anything--unless you absolutely have to. Anydvd ripper is a last resort. Read http://forum.slysoft.com/showthread.php?t=328 fully

Children of Men has almost no protection. But Pursuit of Happyness has alot and burned perfectly with AnyDVD, CloneDVD2. ;)

In the case of both The Pursuit of Happyness and Children of Men you really don't need to worry about much loss when burning to a DVD-5. Copying only the menus and the main movie will get around 94% quality with CloneDVD. IMO, it'd be a waste to burn to a DVD DL if you don't want extras on the backup.
