when you rip an hd-dvd or blu-ray disc to your harddrive how is it stored? Does this software allow you to convert the file to a structure that will be recognized and played back via windows media center video player?

It's stored the same way they files are stuctured on the original disk (folderwise). Don't know how it works with MCC since I haven't tried it yet....

Does slysoft have any plans to create a simple rip as wmv-hd file option?

In the long run they are developping a software just like Clone DVD for HDs. But I doubt it will do reencoding at least not into other format just like wmv. Haven't tried the latest Nero with HD plug-in yet. It might do what you need. Not sure though....

nero works to transcode the video but there is no audio.
