Retry when read error not working in 8.2.5.1?

I have a UHD with some unreadable sectors which i want rip to disk. With 8.2.5.0 i can hear that the disc is retrying to read but with 8.2.5.1 happens nothing if i press retry and the drive stops.
 
Many many read errors later, i think the new Version can also do retry if there is an error. It is really random when Anydvd gives up on this disc. This disc is dead.
