Ratatouille will not play. It gets as far as the menu, but the play menu option does not respond, either to mouse clicks or to a right click and then clicking play on the popup menu.

I am running what appears to be the latest version of AnyDVD HD according to your web site, and I am trying to watch using Power DVD, the version that came with my Blu-ray player, from LG, which I just recently purchased.

Thanks,

Bill

Post log files, please.

  1. Ensure AnyDVD is running.
  2. Put the problematic original movie DVD in your burner. Wait for AnyDVD to scan the disc.
  3. Right click the red fox icon on your toolbar.
  4. Select "Create Logfile".
  5. Wait for AnyDVD to create a log file.
  6. A pop-up screen will appear. Take note of the location where AnyDVD created the logfile and the logfile's name. Click "OK".
  7. Windows Explorer will open, and you will see a ZIP file called "AnyDVD_Info_titleofmydisc.zip" (or something similar; see step f).
  8. When replying or posting in the SlySoft forums, look for the icon that looks like
    attach.gif
(in other words, look for the paperclip after clicking "quote" or when creating a new thread).
  9. If you don't see that paperclip icon, click the "go advanced" button. You should see that icon now. Click the paperclip.
  10. A small pop-up screen should appear (if it doesn't, please ensure your browser is configured to allow pop-ups from the SlySoft forum).
  11. Click the "Browse" button and locate and select the ZIP file you created.
  12. Click "upload".
  13. Close the window. When you submit reply, or submit a new thread, the ZIP file will be attached automatically for us to take a look at.

I've had this happen on many occasions. It always seems that a simple restart of the computer solves this. :)

Get the latest PowerDVD OEM update. And a stupid question: have you tried using the keyboard? Most (all?) Java bluray menus don't work with the mouse.

Bonus question: what happens when you try to play with AnyDVD disabled?

The Anydvd forum is for dvds.

The Anydvd HD forum is for Blu-rays.

click http://forum.slysoft.com/showthread.php?t=4503, and provide all of the requested information, please.

I have no idea how I missed that this was a BD. :(

I own the Region A release of this movie and have no issues using either the retail version of PowerDVD7 or PowerDVD8 along with AnyDVD HD 6.5.1.9 beta.

Did you just press enter

Sometimes PowerDVD does not respond to the mouse but rather the keyboard needs to be used.

Forgive me. It hadn't occurred to me to try arrow keys and the enter key. I am watching Ratatouille now. Sorry. I am new to this.

Boy are you in for a ride, especially with these characters (bluray and PowerDVD OEM) :D
