I know you've probably heard this already and I'm sorry, but, I've read all the threads and none of them seem to touch on the problem I'm having... My computer scans the disc in about 10 seconds (AnyDVD 6490 and CloneDVD2 2920) It doesn't hang on reading or burning. The movie is complete in about 22 minutes - give or take. But when I went to playback the movie, the viseo freezes (off and on) but the audio just keeps going, and the movie, in places looks pixilated. I haven't read any threads that touch on this.

When you experience the freezes and pixellation is this when you are watching the backup on a DVD? If so refer here: http://forum.slysoft.com/showthread.php?t=5083. Pay particular attention to Point 6: http://forum.slysoft.com/showthread.php?t=2516.

Post AnyDVD logs:

  1. Ensure AnyDVD is running.
  2. Put the problematic original movie DVD in your burner. Wait for AnyDVD to scan the disc.
  3. Right click the red fox icon on your toolbar.
  4. Select "Create Logfile".
  5. Wait for AnyDVD to create a log file.
  6. A pop-up screen will appear. Take note of the location where AnyDVD created the logfile and the logfile's name. Click "OK".
  7. Go to your "My Documents" folder.
  8. You will see a ZIP file called "AnyDVD_Info_titleofmydisc.zip" (or something similar; see step f).
  9. When replying or posting in the SlySoft forums, look for the icon that looks like
    attach.gif
(in other words, look for the paperclip after clicking "quote" or when creating a new thread).
  10. If you don't see that paperclip icon, click the "go advanced" button. You should see that icon now. Click the paperclip.
  11. A small pop-up screen should appear (if it doesn't, please ensure your browser is configured to allow pop-ups from the SlySoft forum).
  12. Click the "Browse" button and locate and select the ZIP file you created.
  13. Click "upload".
  14. Close the window. When you submit reply, or submit a new thread, the ZIP file will be attached automatically for us to take a look at.

Post CloneDVD logs:

attachment.php

  1. In the white area under the tab labelled "Log", right click and select "save as".
  2. Select where you want to save the log, and then save it.
  3. The log will be a .txt file. Zip it up using Winzip or another program. If the text file is small enough, you should be able to upload it anyway. Otherwise, use Winzip.

  7. Click the "Browse" button, and locate and select the .zip file (or .txt file) that you created.

I am so sorry that I wasted your time - I just realized (ater I reread the post you told me to look at and doubled checked all my settings) that I had my write speed at 16X instead of 8X. Once again I'm sorry. I reburned and play back is perfect.
