It will burn 4.7 discs fine but not DL discs. I have XP Pro SP2 32bit with 4 DVD burners. All burners have worked fine in the past and work fine when using other software to burn DVDs that I make of home stuff.I have tried 3 different TV show discs. Family Ties Season 2 Disc 1 and Kung Fu Season 2 disc 2. it will not work on any drive I have. It was working great about 3 weeks ago and now it gets to about 50% then it just says speed 0 and remaining time unknown I have AnyDVD 6.4.7.1 The img it makes is fine from what I can tell.I have uninstalled and reinstalled still samething. Just a little more info, I have not added any new software other then Itunes to the system and a new printer. Here are the Filter Drivers on my system. Can you help me please?

Follow the steps/provide the requested information in the order that follows below:

1. Update to Anydvd 6.4.7.3 beta: http://sandbox.slysoft.com/beta/SetupAnyDVD6473.exe

2. You may need to reboot after installing if prompted to do so.

3. Click the red fox icon on your toolbar. Click "default". Click "ok".

You know, I told you to remove this crap before. I didn't tell you to remove it for no reason.

You have packet writing junk on your system, Sonic's Drag-to-disc, which should definitely be uninstalled. Packet writing software interferes with a lot of other software, not just Slysoft's If you need drag-and-drop functionality, use dvd-ram instead, which is more stable.

4.
i) Create a backup of your registry
ii) Download imgburn. It's a free program: http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=download
(it's also an excellent program imo)
iii) Go to Tools > Filter Driver Load Select "pwd_2k". Click "Remove Selected filter". Select "drvmcdb". Click "remove selected filter". Click "ok".
iv) Reboot

Keep in mind that whatever program(s) installed those filters will no longer work properly.

5. What blank media are you using? Specify

a. brand name
b. type (-R, +R, -RW, +RW, RAM, DL, ...),
c. media code,
d. capacity/size,
e. country (factory information would be great as well, if possible) where the media was made (look on the physical packaging; do not rely on programs to accurately give you this information).

If you don't know how to obtain media codes, you may find the following programs useful:

* http://dvd.identifier.cdfreaks.com
* http://www.dvdinfopro.com/

6. At what speed are you burning your blank media?

7. Provide the Anydvd .zip log file:

  • Ensure AnyDVD is running.
  • Put the problematic original movie DVD in your burner. Wait for AnyDVD to scan the disc.
  • Right click the red fox icon on your toolbar.
  • Select "Create Logfile".
  • Wait for AnyDVD to create a log file.
  • A pop-up screen will appear. Take note of the location where AnyDVD created the logfile and the logfile's name. Click "OK".
  • Go to your "My Documents" folder.
  • You will see a ZIP file called "AnyDVD_Info_titleofmydisc.zip" (or something similar; see step f).
  • When replying or posting in the SlySoft forums, look for the icon that looks like
    attach.gif
(in other words, look for the paperclip after clicking "quote" or when creating a new thread).
  • If you don't see that paperclip icon, click the "go advanced" button. You should see that icon now. Click the paperclip.
  • A small pop-up screen should appear (if it doesn't, please ensure your browser is configured to allow pop-ups from the SlySoft forum).
  • Click the "Browse" button and locate and select the ZIP file you created.
  • Click "upload".
  • Close the window. When you submit reply, or submit a new thread, the ZIP file will be attached automatically for us to take a look at.

You are right you have told many other people not to have drag and drop on the system. I have had it on my system for years and no problem. So yes something has changed I hope. I will do as you say and let you know if it helps.
