Using "anydvd" to "rip to harddisc" with physically damaged , unreadable dvd's that will not play,
sometimes makes a copy that will play. There is a message on the screen of "AnyDVD Ripper" that says, This tool repairs broken Video DVDs...
while coping them to your Harddrive!.
However the instructions on this forum recommend using "CloneDVD" to rip to harddrive instead of "AnyDVD".
Does anyone know if "CloneDVD" would also repair the damaged dvd ?

"broken" should not be confused with "physical damage". Neither Anydvd ripper nor Clonedvd will skip over reading errors. Clonedvd is better to use, mostly because it's faster (and you can remove stuff you don't want before ripping).
