is it possible to copy from a dvd disc (not blu-ray) with cinavia and remove cinavia in the process?

At this time, as the name of the software states, it is for Blu-ray discs and Blu-ray ISO files only.

No, but play the DVD on a DVD player and you won't have to worry about Cinavia.

Quite a few according to the posts in the AnyDVD DVD/Bluray sections. If you can't you might need to supply a bit more information, especially an AnyDVD log. And starting a new thread in the DVD or Bluray section instead of tagging on a Cinavia thread in the General Chat would be good also.
