Relentless Enemies - Reported by AnyDVD HD as not AACS protected!

I'm running AnyDVD 6.1.3.3 with the xbox 360 addon on XP Pro and PowerDVD v7.1.

When I put in "National Geographic - Relentless Enemies," the AnyDVD status window for the HD-DVD drive reports that the "Media is not AACS protected." It is, as there are the AACS and AACS_BAK folders on the disc, and when it plays it is only black video w/ no audio. Unable to decrypt to HDD either.

    Any help?

    Thanks,
    mb

    Do other discs decrypt correctly?

Yes, I have played back around 20 discs with no problems until now.

Also, if I disable AnyDVD and try to playback the disc, PowerDVD doesn't complain, but plays back just black video with no audio, despite my system being non-compliant

i sent slysoft an email about this a week ago and haven't heard anything. this is a problem.

@slysoft/mods - could you maybe help get the ball rolling on this issue? i just purchased the software after a flawless trial period, now this is quite frustrating.

Sure (but I haven't ordered it yet). I assume this is the US release?

    Same problem with Relentless Enemies

I have XBOX 360 HD DVD addon and latest anyDVD HD trial version.
Ordered 'Relentless Enemies' from Netflix. Disk not scratched. AnyDVD HD can see it (title, region, volume, etc), but says 'no AACS protection'. When I tryto rip the disk to a hard drive, weird window pops up: "Disk is AACS protected! Is AnyDVD HD not running???"
PowerDVD 7.3 cannot play it too. Says "new PowerDVD components available online. Do you want to upgrade now?". If I click yes, it errors. If I click no, it just plain stops. WTH??? Ordered a replacement, will see.

PS Hulk is OK, can rip and play.

    Replacement

Just got a replacement of the 'Relentless enemies' from Netflix. Same problem.
I think the disk is AACS protected, but AnyDVD does not recognize it. So it reports it to be 'not AACS protected', but when you actually try to rip, AACS protection doesn't let you.

I looked it up, no hope for XBOX 360 HD DVD and toshiba player owners until May.

I have received the 'Relentless Enemies' disc. I am sorry to say, that this disc is authored incorrectly, and there isn't much I can do about it. It cannot be decryped using the XBOX360 HD DVD drive.
It will not play in PowerDVD and it won't play on the XBOX360 (you'll get an error message if you try).

although i havent got any bluray or hd discs (or even a player) does the dvdfab hd decrpyter *for free* solve the problem??
    DVDFab HD Decrypter 3.0.9.6 (03/30/2007)
DVDFab HD Decrypter comes with same functionality as DVDFab Decrypter, but with full HD-DVD and Blu-Ray support (Removes AACS).
    post your findings...

That you cannot watch the disc? I don't think so.

Can we get a sticky or something here?

For movies that won't RIP or playback on the Xbox 360 drive for one reason or another so we don't waste time or $$$ on these guys.

Sounds like its a firmware problem/solution on the 360 (cant read "basic" encoded HD-DVD's)

Reading some customer reviews at amazon reveal, that the disc doesn't work in some Toshiba players, too.
This disc has an authoring error. It isn't the XBOX360's fault. Maybe they can find a workaround in an updated firmware, but at the moment I would return it.
