Reign Over Me won't RIP - ver 6.1.8.4

    I am backing up my original copy and using AnyDVD 6.1.8.4 below is the info on the DVD.

    Summary for drive D: (AnyDVD 6.1.8.4)

    Drive (Hardware) Region: 0 (not set!)

    Media is a DVD.
    Booktype: dvd-rom (version 1), Layers: 2 (opposite)
    Size of first Layer: 2056992 sectors (4017 MBytes)
    Total size: 4012736 sectors (7837 MBytes)

    Video DVD (or CD) label: Reign Over Me
    Media is CSS protected!
    Video Standard: NTSC
    Media is locked to region(s): 1 3 4!

    RCE protection not found.
    Structural copy protection not found.
    Found & removed Autorun from Video DVD!
    Bad sector protection not found.
    Emulating RPC-2 drive with region 1!

    1. i. Right click the fox on your toolbar. Exit Anydvd
    ii. Click start. Right click on "My computer"--->select "properties".
    iii.Click on the 'Hardware' tab--->click the 'device manager' button.
    iv. Open the dvd/cdrom branch---> right click on your optical drive
    v. Click "properties".
    vi. You should have a region tab. From there you can select a region.
    vii. Select the region that matches the region on the disc
    viii. Start Anydvd
    ix. click the fox icon on your toolbar. Go to Video dvd--->settings
    x. Change the default to match the region on the disc
    xi. Click Ok

    2. State the full a)error message(s) you encountered, b)tell us what program(s) you were using when you received the error message(s), and c) describe in detail what you were doing when you received the error message(s).

    3. a)Click the red fox icon on your toolbar.
    b) Navigate to "Program Settings".
    c) Click "enable logging".
    d) Click "ok".
    e) Put the problematic disc in your optical drive/reader.
    f) Go to your My Documents folder
    g) You will see a zip file called "Anydvd_Info_titleofmydisc.zip"
    h) When replying or posting in the Slysoft forums, look for the icon that looks like [​IMG]
    i) if you don't see that icon, click the "go advanced" button. You should see that icon now. Click the paperclip.
    j) a small pop-up screen should appear (if it doesn't please ensure your browser is enabled to allow pop-ups from the Slysoft forums)
    k) click the "Browse" button, and locate and select the .zip file you created.
    l) click "upload"

    This DVD shouldn't have any issues. Definitely do as Webslinger advised. I would also recommend scanning your disc with Nero CD-DVD Speed [aka Nero DiscSpeed] to make sure there are no bad sectors. If there are bad sectors then then I'd return the disc for a replacement.

    Yeah, I would have advised that, but I have no idea what the original error message is.
