I tried to update to the new version anydvdhd (8180) and it wouldn't install. I had the same issues with the elby issue as noted elsewhere. I am running Bitdefender antivirus program. I uninstalled it and then installed anydvdhd with no issues at all and then reinstalled bitdefender and everything works fine.
