recognizing movies in explorer and other programs

correct. I didn't get to try 8.2.0.1 and 8.2.0.2 worked after the installation but I accidentally left a movie in the drive during installation. I don't know how that factors in
 
Maybe I should wipe the entire system because this is so frustrating and I'm out of options
