Recognizing DVD -R Discs

Hi there,

I have been burning +R and DL discs for some months now without a hitch. I just took advantage of a supermediastore.com sale to pickup premium Taiyo Yuden DVD -R discs. Now my DVD burner won't even recognize them as media.

I have a Sony DRX 830U and a DRX 820 U. I use XP and the firmware is fully updated. I am set to DMA. Is there another setting type such as what we do with DL discs to change this to ROM?

Please let me know otherwise I will simply return these discs and just lose out on the current sale.

You can only change booktype on the +R format.

You need to select "dvd-5" in Clonedvd near the quality bar.
