ReClock 1.8.7.0

Sounds like maybe you are affected by this: http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/10722.page

If so, nothing to do with Reclock.

Ahh... look at that, and here I was given looks at Reclock!! Seems to be a problem affecting many. I'll have to keep an eye on that thread to see if there's any developments (seems pretty quiet at the moment). Oh well 9 actually works really well but pretty disappointing that Cyberlink doesn't seem to have made any movement on the issue.

Starting with this version, sometimes ReClock adapts the video adapts to 23.6fps instead of 24, like it always did in 1.8.6.9 and previous versions. No settings are changed (same video, monitor - resolution, refresh rate), but sometimes ReClock picks 23.6 and sometimes 24. The video is ~24fps, and the screen is ~60Hz.

If the video is VFR and suddenly changes from ~24fps to ~30fps, in the first mode, it will adapt to 29.5fps and 30fps in the second mode.

Any idea what is happening?

Have you tried "clean-up video clock timings database"?

I doubt that. There have been no changes to the frame rate detection.

I have done that. I have only been able to reproduce the the weird thing as above once since then.

Maybe it has occurred before, but I can't reliably reproduce it so I guess I will drop this issue.

It's probably some corruption of that database, it's happened to me a couple of times, especially (but not always) when I leave the player on pause and my system locks itself and goes to sleep automatically.
