Questions for Converting Film Based TV Shows For Ipod!!

I've been having a bit of trouble with this. I have tried to convert them (all episode of both series) for my Ipod. Every time they are converted, they run fine on itunes/computer but they play laggy on my ipod. I've tried 3-pass, I've tried Deinterlacing 1,2,and 3-pass but they always play like they are buffering or something. Other tv shows I've put on my Ipod are Chappelles Show (S1,2) Metalocalypse (S1,2) ATHF (S1,2,3,4,5) and South Park (S1,2,5,7) and they all play fine. What Am I doing wrong.

PLEASE HELP!!!
