Setup guide: Default settings in AnyDVD is all you need (if in doubt, click "default").
Does the AnyDVD notification icon turn purple during playback? If not, AnyDVD isn't doing its magic. Do you run PowerDVD elevated (as administrator)?
I shall try running AnyDVD in admin, that's something I haven't done yet

I've never noticed it changing colour, although it's on full screen. I shall look at that too before I change anything else to see if it's purple
You don't need to, unless you run PowerDVD elevated.
Cool, it was because it was not running as administrator
Then some settings are wrong your machine. AnyDVD isn't supposed to run as administrator and neither is your PowerDVD. That setting should be DISABLED normally.
