I am having a problem using any version of AnyDvd since the 6.1.2.3 version. This is happening in 3 different computers. Using any version since 6.1.2.3 results in a burn failure every time using DVDShrink 3.17. It always occurs at the 98% burned point, then poof it fails.

Here are the Writer and Reader (all of which have up-to-date firmware) info for all three computers:

Pioneer DVR-110D
Samsung SD-616E

Pioneer DVR-109
Samsung SD-616E

Pioneer DVR-109
Lite-On DVD SOHD-16P9SV

All of these use DVDShrink 3.17 (which I have used for years and no probs). The 6.1.2.3 version of AnyDVD results in no burning problems but as I said any and all versions since then result in a burn failure at 98%. Getting this problem every time and I cannot figure out why.

Anyone else having this problem or have any ideas why this is happening? Would be nice to be able to use the current version of AnyDVD again since 6.1.2.3 won't handle a lot of the newer discs.

the new sony movies will not work using shrink try using clonedvd2 it has a 21 day evaluation period see if that works

This isn't just a Sony movie problem. It is with any movie using any version of AnyDVD since 6.1.2.3. I don't think it has a thing in the world to do with Shrink.

What type of blank media are you using?

C. If you were burning at max speed, try lowering your burn speed (not below 4x)
D. Don't have other programs running in the background.

Use one of the programs mentioned, and list your Lowerfilters and Upperfilters in your next post.

Or for XP users only,
Click Start, Run
type regedit
Go to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Current Control Set\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

We want what's listed in "LowerFilters" and "UpperFilters". List your Lowerfilters and Upperfilters in your next post.

F. With the exception of the Sony stuff, don't use Anydvd ripper.
