isnt a crc error a problem with the physical disc? or can it be caused by bad copy protection.

You can get a CRC error from a scratched or dirty disc also. Without seeing the .ifo files Slysoft will not know. CRC error can be caused by a number of thing, it doesn't have to be a new protection.

Isn’t there something a little odd with the AnyDVD Summary posted by Forum Member 13102005 in posting #1?

Lite-On SOHD-16P9S is set to Region 1 but AnyDVD is Emulating RPC-2 Drive with Region 5.

Shouldn’t AnyDVD be Emulating RPC-2 Drive with Region 1 and not Region 5?

What movie is this? (Name? Country? Region? UPC?)

I believe it's most likely Paris By Night 89 - Live In Korea. It was released on Aug 30, 2007. Apparently each disc in the set [2 discs] shows 84.1 GB of data viewed from Windows Explorer.

It's hard finding any English sites with information on it let alone buying it.

Saigon Superstore: here
Thuynga Online: here

I saw it referred to on the DVDFab forums a few days ago. Some people believe Settec Alpha protection is being used.

Hi,

I was trying to back up this disc and I'm seeing a couple of weird problems.

1. This disc appears to be over 80 Gig even though it's a DVD-9, and there's a DRMManager folder as well -- not sure if this is relevant. (see dir.jpg attachment).

2. Attached is a snapshot of AnyDVD. (see anydvd.jpg)

3. When I tried to use this in CloneDVD2, it only sees a very small file (see clonedvd1.jpg).

Any ideas? I'm using the latest AnyDVD/CloneDVD2 combo and Vista Home edition.

The disc has a new Settec Alpha dvd copyprotection.

LOl he wrote in the same thread. So I dont know why you refer it.

If you compare the link posted and the current thread they are not the same. It appears two threads may have been merged. At the very least the original was moved and renamed.
