I recently purchased a Samsung SH-S203N SATA drive, connected to a PCI-to-SATA expansion board (PNY model P-DSA150-PCI-RF). I had success with DVD Decrypter with an older Lite-On PATA drive. Neither DVD Decrypter nor AnyDVD (says drive is disabled) will recognize the new drive now. Running either locks the PC up, requiring a forced re-boot. The drive otherwise functions normally, reading and writing. Being that the drive and card were the only change I made, is that issue? Does AnyDVD not recognize because of the connection to the card?
