I need a preset for iriver U10 / clix. The standard presets are not run. Here some technical things about the player: brand=iriver device=clix / U10 maxVideoBitrate=384 maxAudioBitrate=128 dimensions=320x240 maxFrameRate=15 wrapperFormat=avi audioFormat=mp3 Could anybody help me? Thanks...
Not sure what you are looking for, but from the iriver/u10 fax page search http://www.iriver.com/html/support/...idx=395&tmpSearchProductIdx=&tmpSearchString= it appears that it will support AVI. If this is true you should be able to rip to the 'Generic Divx' format. Have you tried that?
iRiver Clix / Clix 2 / iAudio D2 Hi! I have a Clix 2, and am very keen to get a working CloneDVD mobile with it. I've had a go with the DIVX profile, and it hasn't worked for me. According to the manual that comes with the player, the Clix 2 can take the following: AVI video: MPEG4 SP (Simple Profile) Less than 30 frames/sec. Up to 2Mbps res: QVGA (320x240) audio: MP3 up to 320Kbps, 44.1 Khz recommended, CBR WMV video: WMV9 SP. Less than 30 frames/sec. Up to 768Kbps res: QVGA (320x240) audio: WMA up to 320Kbps I've read a post elsewhere by someone who claims to have both a Clix 2 and an iAudio D2, and when using iRiverter the D2 transcoding profile makes videos that work for both players. If someone works out what CloneDVD mobile profile works on one, perhaps it will work on the other too? I'm sure this is a very stupid question, but how do you output mpeg4 sp with mencoder? Do you have to do anything special? Cheers.
I thought that I would give it one more try, ripping a short section with as many of the profiles in clone DVD mobile that I could find that did 320 x 240. Sure them all, but I still found that ALL of the following profiles produce video that plays on my clix2: Creative Zen vision smart disc flash trax XT generic (divx) Commodore PCM 30 Windows Mobile smart phone I set the resolution to 320 x 240, and to fill the screen (i.e no letterboxing). I don't know what I was doing before that made it not work-but I'm really pleased its working now!
Are you saying that you can rip using Slysoft then simply drag and drop the file onto the Clix using windows explorer and it will play? They only way I can get it to work is to rip with Slysoft then transfer the file with the iriver bundled software which then does another lengthy conversion process.
