Question Plex and low volume transcoding

Anyone else experienced low volume when Plex transcodes some sound? I have not put my finger on it yet but I suspect the higher quality streams to be the ones that are doing this. The lower end stuff like AC3 seems to come out fine when being played/transcoded. Specifically, so far, it seems to be when going from 5 or 7 channel down to stereo. But again, I just started checking this out so my details are scant at this point. Thanks.
 
i do direct play on LAN and i often find audio in plex being too quiet, so i have to up the volume but then the explosions are too loud. sure, my setup is noobish with a 150$ soundbar, but still. in kodi on my HTPC everything is almost always fine. didnt inspect further but now that youve mentioned it ill take a closer look in the future which codecs and channel setups are giving me troubles. but, yes. plex can suck for audio, aka audio being too quiet/low.
