Pioneer Drives / Do not update the firmware!

As many of you know, with MakeMKV installed, AnyDVD can use many official UHD drives including Pioneer drives. Mike over at MakeMKV just posted a warning that Pioneer released a ton of firmware updates with the sole purpose of blocking not only LibreDrive but also flashing tools that have been in development. The short version is this:

DO NOT UPDATE PIONEER FIRMWARE

Doing so will render your drive useless for MakeMKV and therefore AnyDVD for the foreseeable future. Once you have a drive working in AnyDVD, you should not ever mess with the firmware of that drive in general anyway. This is why.
