Until the 12 series of the full size Pioneer drives the name logic was that any drive name that contains an "U" is also UHD capable. AnyDVD works for these drives with the help of Makemkv w/o any issues.
Pioneer just released their 13 series of full size drives and the name pattern is broken now. Don't assume anymore going forward that "U" in the product name means UHD capable. Those drives are currently only available in the US and Japan but will be most likely also available in the ROW soon. So please read carefully before you buy a series 13 drive:

X13U-S
S13UBK
S13U-X
This is NOT UHD capable:
X13UBK
