I have AnyDVD HD and love it. I use power DVD ultra, but are there any other similar programs out there that will playback HD DVD rips?
 
There is a version of WinDVD 8 that supports HD DVD and BD but there will supposedly be a ~$30 plug-in to support other currently non-HD DVD and BD compliant versions.

Nero 7.8.5.0 has a ~$25 plug in that supports HD DVD movie playback but apparently commercial BD movies are not yet supported.

I’m using Nero with the HD DVD / BD plug-in and its serviceable for HD DVD. Its got bugs here and there but so too do the other solutions.
