I've had this same problem a few times but it always works itself out by the time I get to #4 about posting about the filters. I think this time the problem was caused by TeaTimer . . . and I uninstalled the whole program and worked my way back through #1-4 a few more times -- and I couldn't find exactly where I supposed to paste my clipboard about my filters so I guess this is a good place:

(I have a feeling it has to do with the PxHelp20 filter - which it's unable to find on my system?)

Dvd drives can disappear if something is listed in your registry's filter stack but is not present on your hard drive (if the driver is listed in your filter stack, it has to also be present on your hard drive; otherwise, your drives will disappear in windows).

pxhelp20 - "Part of Sonic Burning engine, it's made by prassi/veritas and licensed to Sonic. Comes with Winamp, 1click DivxToDVD and (older versoins of) Digion Audio. "

    Anyway,

    i) Create a backup of your registry
ii) Download imgburn. It's a free program: http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=download
(it's also an excellent program imo)
iii) Go to Tools > Filter Driver Load Order. Select "PxHelp20". click "remove selected filter". Click "ok". Reboot

Keep in mind that the program(s) that installed pxhelp20 may no longer function properly.

    2. If that still doesn't resolve your issue, do the same for PFC as in step 1. "PFC - Padus ASPI Shell filter driver. Comes with Nero 6.x/7.x.x if you choose to install it, comes with WinDVD Creator, it comes with DiscJuggler and it comes with NVIDIA Purevideo decoder. "

    3. And if you still can't see your drives at that point, reinstall Anydvd and Clonedvd. Remember to reboot.
