NF NOT downloading 100% 1080P on 1.3.0.0

Looks like it's still not 100% fixed.

Just tried downloading Mr. Right and Just Go With It on Netflix after updating to 1.3.0.0 64bit and it's still limited to a max resolution of 960x540.

The Colony is now available to download at 1920x1080.

I don't get "Mr. Right" but can confirm I also see "Just go with it" Smith a max resolution of 960x540 (in the UK).

Just FYI, Netflix never had 100% HD offerings. Some shows and movies were always limited to 960x540 as that is all the Netflix offers to AS. I think I tried Mr. Right several months ago and it was the same thing.

Just curious... 1.2.8.0 was showing some NF movies as 1080p, such as "Identity" and "Tremors: Shreiker Island", which previously were only 540p, but only the first two minutes were OK, after which the video dropped out, but the audio kept going.

I think that NF is offering 1080p, after all, we did get a glimpse of it, but AS is filtering out streams it can't decrypt (yet).

Good to see the devs making real progress though. A title I could not get in 1080p just last week (WWII in HD) is now downloading in 1080p.

Agreed. Netflix is working much better in 1.3.0.0. Just this morning i had grabbed about 20 shows in the 960x540, and then 1.3.0 rolled out, and all 20 shows were upgraded to 1080 (regrabbed at this). I then went to check some others I know I had grabbed at lower resolution historically, to see if they were now available, but the same ones that weren't originally available, still aren't, but a lot of new items, are back to offering full 1080P.... In other words, Kudos to the Devs for getting this working again. Also My AP seems to be working better as well. Good upgrade!

Cobra Kai Season 4 is downloading HD for me right now, at least at 720. Haven't tried 1080, but before, only E01 would download in HD, and all other episodes were SD.

Can confirm every episode of Cobra Kai S4 is 1080 with 640 audio now - Did some spot checks and video is OK for all episodes past the 2 min mark.

As @sycor mentions, Netflix has never been 100% 1080p. Many titles have been SD forever, with Mr. Right (2016) and Identity (2003) being two of them. I pulled Mr. Right late December at 960x540 and have been monitoring Identity for several months hoping that one day it will be available in 1080 to get a smaller file size than the one I got with Starz (APV) at 1080p/DD+5.1 (6.2 GB).

Use JustWatch to track your media. It will help a great deal.

Sometimes you can get lucky by finding a 1080p version from a different country/region. It's worth looking into if it's favorite title of yours. Using VPN with Netflix works pretty well depending on the VPN provider.
Use this site for tracking Netflix specifically:

• Identity (2003) only avail. in US for now.
• Mr. Right (2015) only avail. in US for now.

Yes, NF seems to like the 940*540 resolution - since it was released last year, Wish Dragon is another movie that never came in 1080.
Some movies/shows are getting replaced with a 1080 version later on, so I'm still hoping

well, no...it is the same issue as always...DRM related.
Because for a short time...it was possible to get 1920 x 1080 from almost everything on netflix. but...after about 2minutes the video was scrambled and only audio was available... <-- this tells me...it would be possible to receive at least HD in most cases...as soon as DRM issue gets solved.
Of course sometimes it is really only a bad resolution directly on netflix...but these bad resolutions are not that often.

I'd say 15-20% of NF's content is 960x540 here in Sweden while series often better, provider is garbage through browser at times and files often tiny.. you should file a complaint with NF instead

Me too, it sounds like an issue with florian78s region or settings, I am getting 98% 1080p on NF, maybe his region or country won't get those in HD. Just guessing. I know some regions only get SD for a lot of shows.

I assume you are referring to the show Friends (1994)? If so, your best option is HBOmax (US).

Strangely enough, when I searched for it in AS, it didn't come up, so I opened my mobile app and added it to My List > refreshed AS and there it was. I pulled this entire series about 3 weeks ago.
