New version wont install

Hi guys

i updated to the latest version this morning 6.1.3.0 and my machine wont boot up at all. it shows the first windows loading screen then completely locks up before displaying the desktop (ie machine has completely frozen caps lock wont work)

its windows xp pro sp2 fully patched

i can boot into safe mode and uninstall and it still wont boot up - i then have to "load last known good configuration" to get into windows.

i tried twice and same thing happens

i have always updated to latest version without problem
