New DVD drive

Got a new Dell computer that came with a TSST corp SH-216BB DVD drive. I'm not very happy with it so far. It has problems just burning a DVD and takes forever. My 8 year old other computer would burn a DVD in 10 minutes or less. This takes 30 minutes. Anyone have any experience with these drives? I might have to just buy a new LG.

Well you asked if anyone had had any experience with that drive, going by the lack of posts I'd say you got your answer

According to the specs, that player is 8x-16x for DVD's so shouldn't be any slower than most DVD burners these days.

Maybe your problem is the media or the burning software or method you're using.
